Hi, I am Gretchen.

You can call me Greta, or Gretchen. I answer to both.

I am an award-winning photographer based in Carlsbad, California.

I am a midwest gal, happily transplanted to Southern California. I have always had a deep love for art and photography. I earned my Bachelors of Arts from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, majoring in Cinema & Photography. I have been in California for 20 years, building my business and making all the friends along the way. I hope to make your session something that is enjoyable, and not a chore. I want your real smile and your true emotions.

My formula for photography is two parts:

1. Tell your story. This is so important. I don't want to only tell the story of a perfectly posed smiling clients. I want those in between moments, as well. I want to see your real emotion, laughter, exhaustion, all of it! Basically, a bit more polished version of your real life!
2. Take the photographs I wish I had of me & mine. I am a mother, wife, daughter, friend. So I deeply understand the importance of capturing that beautiful bond.
