North Ponto Beach

Carlsbad, California

An easy access spot, with parking along Coast Highway. This beach tends to be a bit less crowded, because the water is slightly more difficult to get to than neighboring beaches. I like this spot for the variety and all its textures. As you can see in the first photo on the left, to access the beach, you must walk over a strip of rocks. This is the only challenging part of this location, so please consider this when selecting this location.
